Literature Text

She was in a Nevada. It was a small town, so small, it didn't have a spot on the map. Miles away from everywhere, how she found it, who knows.  But he must have followed her by the same means.  Now, the town's population had been mortally reduced to none, and she was rewarding herself by drinking as if it was her last day alive.

He came into the bar, sensing her presence. His eyes were closed, a small relaxed smile on his face. He walked calmly up to the platinum-blond woman.

"Daisy, I presume?" The man spoke in his soft and relaxed tone. He admired how the woman could keep her suit clean and dust-free, especially after a slaughter like the one she just finished. Well, it was a rather neat and efficient mass murder, to be fair.

"Hm?" Daisy turned around, and looked down her nose at him. "Who the hell are you?"

"Oh, excuse me for being so rude and not introducing myself," the man nodded politely. "My name is Jackal."

"You look like a faggot." Daisy remarked incredulously, taking in Jackal's black and purple attire. The corner of Jackal's lip twitched, but he never lost his composure. He still smiled politely, his hands behind his back.

"I own an arena in the Hell realm, Miss Daisy," Jackal continued, raising a hand to accent his words. "And I believe you'd make an interesting competitor-"

"Not interested." Daisy took a quick swig of her whiskey, setting it down and then exiting the bar.

"Really, why don't you reconsider," Jackal followed her outside. "I'm sure there's something you'd be willing to work for."

"No, I have better ways to spend my time than fighting degenerate losers from the scum pits of hell." Daisy countered, walking towards the road that would lead her to the highway. Jackal paused for a minute before he spoke, a devious tinge coming to his smile.

"Sebastian." Was all he spoke, but that made Daisy stop, her blood ran cold, despite the hot and try climate. She slowly turned her head to look at Jackal.

"Wh...." she started, her eyes wide. "Wh-What did you say?"

"Sebastian." Jackal walked up to her, knowing he had her full attention. "This name- this person- means something to you, yes?"

"How do you know him?" Daisy demanded, about to strike Jackal. "Tell me-"

"Shh, all in good time," Jackal hushed her, holding her arm back and gently touching a finger to her lips.  "Here's the deal. You fight in my arena, and I'll find this Sebastian for you, alright?"

"..." Daisy hesitated.

"Oh, you'll be allowed to kill your opponents as well. In fact," Jackal smiled darkly. "That's exactly what I expect of you."

"Fine, as long as you promise to find Sebastian and bring him to me." Daisy finally nodded.

"..... Of course. Anything for a dignified lady such as yourself..." Jackal smiled, pleased at Daisy's consent.
So, this is my entry for ~IA-OCT. Before anyone asks, no, I shall not tell anyone who Sebastian is, but for anyone who's curious, feel free to make assumptions. I'll only tell who he is if Daisy wins, anyways. ^.~

(Also, I find it's easier to read if you change it into the boldened font.)

Jackal belongs to ~DesertFiend

Daisy is mine, steal her and you forfeit your left lung to me.
