Drabbles of the Musical Sort Two

SunBlock- "Remember You"

She was crying in the wreckage of the town, pure and untouched. In her hands she cradled the young man, a man she had just barely managed to keep from harm in the blast that decimated the town.  She knew what her part was in the destruction, and that things would only get worse. She looked down again at Roberto, a sad joy in her heart.

"You don't even know that my power is making me crazy, do you, you Brazilian bastard,"  Rachel muttered, stroking his hair. She knew the X-Men to which he belonged to would be here to rescue him any minute.

She leaned back and sat with her legs crossed, still talking out loud to the air.

"I like you, though. A little bit. You're nice," Rachel continued, giving a false smile. "Your ass isn't too bad either. Guess it's kind of a good thing Hannah dragged me along to meet you other mutants, eh?"

She paused, looking up at the dark sky.

"But I guess it was also a big mistake. But that's how history is made, by lots and lots of mistakes."

She could just imagine the amount of satisfaction Agent Z must be getting from the losses she was allowing herself to have.

"... I hope you guys back in Bayville will forgive me for whatever it is I end up doing," she muttered, looking down at the ground. "Cause I don't think I can be responsible for myself for too much longer."

She stood up, following her eyes to a bedsheet covered in gravelly dirt, and pick it up, and found a pillow as well. She shook as much dirt as she could off of both, and with a smile and a small sob, she draped both around Roberto, pausing a little while to listen to the steady sound his breath was making.

"But at least I can save you...." she murmured, back up a little before turning towards the sprawling fallen town around her, that sinking feeling of despair eating it's way into her heart again.

"But who's gonna save me?" she whispered, her words coming out as a sob.
