Doremus- "Somebody Told Me"

He was falling. At one moment he was looking outside the window at the cloudless sky above, the next glass was falling all around him like many tiny stars and he was hurtling to the ground below. It all felt really surreal to Remus, the instantaneousness of it all dulling his reaction to the impending doom.

There was a whizzing sound, and a green glove grabbing him by the shirt and pulled him up. He was dragged up and up before he was placed softly on a rooftop.

"I don't suppose you can see ghosts, can ya?" A voice called out, and the person who saved him floated down on a broomstick, her legs crossed and a confident smile on her lips. Black hair cascaded down her green-clad shoulders, though it had a small sheen like it was just a false wig. The mask was just enough to make her features vague, and her voice had that small hint of familiarity, but he couldn't place his finger on it.

"Ghosts?" he asked, and the witch smiled, giving a small chuckle.

"You know, spirits? Dead people?" She used her hands to help her communicate the idea. "I guess they're kinda hard to see if you haven't had too many encounters with the undead, though."

"... Do I know you?" He asked, searching all around for a feature, a gesture, or something that would help him name the face. The witch made a small frown, then her broad smile resurfaced a half-second later.

"Oh, yeah, I'm Ozma! You know, that vigilante who's been popping up on the late-night news?" She explained, moving her fingers into a two handed sign with double V's- apparently a signature gesture of hers.

"I don't watch the news much," Remus shrugged.

"... Well, I figured as much." Ozma shrugged, and he almost heard what could have been a sigh of relief in her voice.  She looked out over the city, then hopped off her floating broom, taking his hand.

"Well, young sir, I must take my leave, as there are monsters I must hunt down," She said, raising his hand to her lips and leaving a small, warm kiss on the back of his hand. "So, take care of yourself, and stay away from big windows, alright?"

She smiled and stepped off of the building with a backwards jump. Remus quickly peered over the side of the building, only to see her waving up at him while she balanced on her broom, one hand on her side. She made a V-sign with her hand again, making a little half-frame of her eye, and sat down on the broom, speeding off into the night.

Remus made a mental note to stay away from large windows.
Seriously if you don't ship Doremus you're doing it wrong.

Look at her, she's so good at hiding her identity from others and then she KISSES HIS HAND, she's like a lady knight and aaugh so cute. So so very cute.

Dorothy/Ozma belongs to me

and Remus belongs to my dearie dear ~Yoruhoshi and since today is her birthday, we'll just consider this drabble and the next one I plan to do her birthday gift ;3
