Nicolai is the descendant of Anti-Verse Toby, and, due to his pampered upbringing and silent vanity, sees himself fit to be a king. And, what with his ailing mother at death's door and His Lordship Arden Kingfisher making a move for the other world, why not try to claim what could be fit for an elegant king such as himself...?

Nicolai possess a certain type of poison that can dissolve seamlessly into liquids with no trace of it being there. When digested into the system, it does two things: First, the victim goes into a state of submission (that they later forget anything that goes on during this time), then they go into a state of hallucination, but usually of pleasant ones, which can be easily manipulated by others. Nicolai uses this to extract information from his victims, then rewards them during the hallucination state by allowing them to believe he's whoever they see him to be.
