"Goodness, what's taking Merry so long?" Dorothy muttered to herself, looking all around the backstage area for her fellow acting enthusiast, but alas, the werewolf pup was nowhere to be found.  Or perhaps heard, would be more accurate.  Dorothy had a better time looking for him when he was causing a raucous of noise- the boy had such a knack for talking to anyone.

They had agreed to come over and audition for the new musical.  Dorothy was lucky to convince the directors to wait a little longer and let the others go before them while she waited for Mercutio.  Why the boy was never as punctual as she, she would never know.  But then again, she had been raised by a secretary-butler, so maybe her ability to stay on-time was just something she had been taught growing up.

"Huh, Mercutio, you can be late, but never this late..." Dorothy murmured, looking around still.

"Why don't you hop on your broomstick and look for him~<3?"  A sweet voice taunted from behind her.  Dorothy whirled around to see- nothing.

"... Just a noise," Dorothy told herself, getting a little worried. Who was following her, and why had they suggested that?  Dorothy went into another room.

"Maybe he forgot about you~<3?  You seem rather forgettable without those green sleeves~<3"  The voice teased again, but Dorothy was quite sure noone had followed her into the room.  Dorothy looked around, the only other living thing in the room was a lily potted on a table, and those certainly don't talk.

Yet, somehow, as she moved from room to room, that sweet, mocking voice murmured to her every step of the way, her taunts becoming more and more alluding to her secret witchery.  Dorothy felt herself becoming annoyed at this display, her shoulders beginning to hunch in agitation.

"Alright, whoever the Hell you are, show yourself!!"  She cried, barely holding back a dark snarl.  A flower- part of a display bunch- moved from off of the top of its brethren, but as it moved around, Dorothy saw that it was attached to a blonde head- blonde hair framing a pair of mismatched blue-and-green eyes and a coy smile.

"Hello there. Dorothy~<3" the girl smiled, malice cleverly hidden behind her words.

".... You..." She was wearing her hair differently, and she had a different set of clothes on, but there was no mistaking it- that was Mistletoe, the daughter of Poison Ivy who had taken her mother's place among the Rogues Gallery quite nicely.  How in the world this nut-case had found her... Dorothy didn't want to know.  But some small part of her was assured that Mistletoe wouldn't be so haphazard with letting Dorothy's secret identity let out so easily; she was too damn smart to do that.

"You can call me Rosie, you know~<3  That is my name~<3" Rosie giggled sweetly.

"What are you doing here?" Dorothy asked, taking a precautionary step back.

"I'm just..... Curious~<3" Rosie smiled.  "Why you aren't using your powers to your advantage, ya know~<3"

"I got along just as fine without them, I don't need to use them," Dorothy replied.  "How did you find me out?"

"I have ears and eyes everywhere~<3" Rosie chuckled, fluffing her hair.  "It's easy to find out where someone is- and who someone is~<3- if you have little workers in the most secreties of places~<3"

"Wha-!!" Dorothy gasped, remembering the details of the rooms she went into.  There was some sort of plant in every room, most with flowers! The most logical answer: the flowers! Rosie must have some way of communing with the flowers, after all, that would make sense, given her mother's abilities.

Rosie giggled, watching Dorothy's thoughts flicker on her face with amusement.

"You have no reason to have found out this-" Dorothy began, becoming flustered without anything to say.

"But I do have reason~<3" Rosie's smile grew darker, and she stepped closer.  "I want a piece of that magic you have there~<3"

"For what?" Dorothy backed up more.  "Don't you have enough power with those wacked-out plants of yours?"

"But not anything like yours~<3" Rosie chuckled.  "Besides, I could help you out as well~<3"

"I don't need help from a maniac." Dorothy stated, turning.

"What about with that boy~<3?" Rosie teased, causing Dorothy to turn back.  "You know the one~<3" She added with a giggle.

"I-I," Dorothy stammered. How does she know about Remus???  She thought hurriedly.

"See this~<3?" Rosie pulled out a shiny pink lipgloss from her purse.  "I put this on my lips, and kiss a guy~<3 He falls infatuated with me~<3"

"I-I-I-" Dorothy continued to stammer.

"After all, it seems that making a love potion hasn't occurred to you~<3" Rosie grinned.  "Or, you know, maybe you can't make one~<3"

"I-I-I-!!"  That last remark struck a chord with Dorothy.  How dare that little weed say that she couldn't win a man over if she wanted??  She didn't use a love potion because she knew love potions never work out right! Dorothy clenched her fists, her shoulders hunching up in an offensive, feral state, and her eyes stung as they gained a near-glowing red and yellow tinge.

"Oh, did I say the wrong thing~<3" Rosie asked with a stoic tilt of her head.

"Oh, you wicked, wicked little peasant!" Dorothy growled, attempting to keep her wrath under control, her hands clenching around Rosie's scrawny little neck.  "I don't need your quack tinctures, heathen mortal wench! I can win hearts through my own virtue!"

"But obviously not through your temper~<3" Rosie smiled, unfazed by Dorothy's sudden change of attitude.

"Quiet! I've had quite enough of your honey-laced slander-" Dorothy was saying, when she heard her name being called from down the hall.  It was actually her turn to be on stage.  Dorothy let go, trying to calm herself down quickly.

"My offer still stands, dear Ozma~<3" Rosie smiled, backing up and quickly running off.

Dorothy stared after her, then turned to run over to the stage area.

"Damn those criminals...." Dorothy muttered.  "But they'll not get the best of me yet... I hope..."
Something with Dorothy and Rosie, because the two of them just seem like they'd make perfect enemies in my mind. Don't really have much more to say on that, as I'm not as good at making rather interesting artist's comments generally, but maybe the comments received will make up for it l3

Dorothy and Rosie belong to me

Remus and Mercutio (mentioned only for plot convenience) belong to the darling ~Yoruhoshi

Poison Ivy and those other Batmanny thingies belong to DC Comics.
